Why We Built This Site
Alabama provides public access to many court records, yet the correct custodian depends on where the case began. The DeKalb County Circuit Clerk keeps Circuit and District Court records, including the case-action summary that lists filings, settings, and results. A city Municipal Court keeps its own traffic and ordinance docket. Probate files remain with the Probate Court, and federal matters use the Northern District of Alabama. The site brings those official divisions, search services, request methods, and contact points into a clear local reference.
What You Will Find Here
- Docket guides: how criminal dockets and civil dockets are searched and read in DeKalb County
- Court dates and settings: how to read the court calendar and confirm a hearing date or setting
- Case lookups: ways to run a case search by name or case number through Just One Look and clerk channels
- Record requests: the steps for obtaining court records, filed documents, and certified copies from the proper custodian
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site with no affiliation to an Alabama court, the DeKalb County Circuit Clerk, or any government agency. Its role is limited:
- We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
- We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
- We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
- We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that a contact, fee, or court setting has not changed since publication
Only the clerk or court holding the original can issue an official or certified copy. This site can identify that office, but it cannot produce the record.
Search Partners
Some pages contain search tools supplied by third parties. Each provider controls its service, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports the site. We do not set the provider's charges, maintain its records, or decide which results it returns.
